Review the sample code below
require_once dirname(__FILE__) . '/qb_api/config.inc.php';
include dirname(__FILE__) . '/qb_api/qbapi.class.php';
$api = new QBapi(); //use $api-> before calling the functions
Download the PDF version of the text below for a better printable format.
To install Pidgin, first download it from this link: https://pidgin.im/download/windows/ and run the installer. Then open Pidgin.
Then you will click "Add..." and be brought to this screen.
Here you will set:
"Protocol" to XMPP
"Username" to the DID you will be using for SMS

If you head over to the "Advanced" tab you will want to:
Set "Connection Security" to "Use encryption if available"
(Keep the "Connect Port" at default (5222 for me)

To install Swift, first download it from this link for Windows:
Mac: https://swift.im/downloads/releases/swift-4.0.2/Swift-4.0.2.dmg and then run the program.

This will open up a chat with the selected DID.
Now you are able to send messages to the DID of your choosing using Swift.
