Local DID numbers from QuestBlue are available in 95% of the USA (including Hawaii and Alaska), Canada and Puerto Rico. We support over 24,812 rate centers and inventory over three quarters of a million DIDs

vFax Service

QuestBlue's vFax is a solid TDM-based virtual fax solution, not FOIP (Fax Over IP). Our service is available in thousands of local rate centers nationwide including Toll Free at no additional cost. vFax provides a complete inbound/outbound faxing solution without the need for a traditional fax machine. Outbound faxes can be sent using our robust browser-based fax portal or directly from Microsoft Outlook; we also offer a stand-alone program to allow faxing directly from the desktop. All inbound faxes are received as Adobe PDFs to your email address.

Toll Free DID Service

Inbound Toll Free service is available for dialing from within the USA, Canada, Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, and Guam. QuestBlue keeps thousands of Toll Free numbers in stock for its customers to order and activate instantly. In addition, as an 800/SMS RESPROG, we can port your current Toll Free numbers to the QuestBlue network.

Enhanced 911 Services

FCC compliant 911/e911 services are available in the USA and Canada.

SIP Termination Service

Outbound SIP termination is avaiable for dialing most destinations worldwide. Our blended retail termination rate for US48 (lower 48 states), Hawaii, and Canada services is $0.009/minute; this includes all local or long-distance calls.

Inbound Caller ID

Inbound CNAM lets you see the name of the person or company who is calling before you asnwer. We use several national telecom databases to look up the name before we send the call to your device. We now offer CNAM as a flat-rate monthly fee versus the standard per 'dip' or look-up charge. Note: CNAM is only provided if the caller's name is listed in the national database.

Outbound Caller ID

Outbound Caller ID with name allows you to set the name people see on their caller ID when you make outbound calls. There is a one-time charge of $1 for each DID that is published to the national CNAM (or LIDB) database. Note: it may take up to thirty days for the outbound caller ID name to become active on the network. Not every rate center will qualify. MRC is $0.60

411 Directory Assistance Listings

QuestBlue can get your new VOIP number and name listed in the national 411 Directory Assistance databases. This service can be added to many of QuestBlue's Tier A DID numbers for as little as $2.49 per month for each listing. Note: not available in all areas, some restrictions apply.

International Service

By peering with some of the world's largest telecom providers we can provide coverage to most destinations on the globe. We do not use 'black' or 'grey' carriers, ensuring consistently superior call quality.

Local Number Portability

You may port your existing Local, Toll Free, or fax number to QuestBlue from your current provider. As long as your number is located in one of our 24,812 local rate centers, you can move it to our network.

Automatic Funds Replenishment

Set your account to automatically replenish funds (using your credit card) when your balance gets below a certain amount specified by you. We also have the ability to add a backup credit card if the primary card fails or declines. This is for Pay-Per-Minute Plans. For flat rate monthly accounts we also offer complete online payment management with automatic billing.

Low Balance Notification

Low balance notification is available for accounts that are billed on a Pay-Per-Minute basis.

Supported Signaling Protocols

SIP is the QuestBlue default protocol. Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a signaling protocol used to create, manage, and terminate sessions in an IP based network. A session could be a simple two-way telephone call or it could be a collaborative multimedia conference session. This makes it possible to implement services like voice-enriced e-commerce, web page click-to-dial, or instant messaging with buddy lists in an IP-based environment, while remaining simple enough to handle your phone services without requiring knowledge of all of its capabilities.

Supported Codecs

A codec is the process of compressing and decompressing voice data. QuestBlue currently supports codec independence, which you can find more information on below.

Volume Pricing

Volume pricing is available and based on a commitment of at least $399/month and conversational traffic.

QuestBlue Systems is coded independent and will accept and pass the Codec you send us.  Bring your CODEC to the table.

A Codec should be thought of as an encoder and decoder. An encoder is a device or software that encodes a media signal typically compressing it in the process. A decoder performs the opposite operation and decodes the media for playback. Intuitively, a codec can be seen as “the manner in which the media is represented”. For a multimedia communication to take place, the parties must support at least one shared codec. There are many audio and video codecs in the market each of which has different properties in terms of required computing resources, compression ratio and fidelity. In this guide, QuestBlue enables developers to select the most appropriate codec for their objective.
